STHS: No visitation policy to remain in place at hospitals
Many coronavirus restrictions may have been scaled back, but visitation policies at South Texas Health System hospitals have not.
STHS is continuing to implement safety protocols for patients and their families.
Lance Ames, CEO at STHS in Edinburg, says besides giving families the option of safe telecommunication with patients, all medical personnel are advised to practice good hygiene and wear face masks at all times.
Ames said facilities will make special considerations for certain situations, but will only allow just one visitor per patient. They’ll supply visitors with cloth masks if they don’t have their own.
