ELSA – A man is now charged in the death of a 49-year-old Elsa woman. 

The Texas Rangers said 34-year-old Jose Roberto Dominguez is charged with capital murder in the death of Sandra Beltran.

She was killed last Friday at her home on Ciro Caseres near Mario Leal Park in Elsa.

Authorities said Beltran’s 4-year-old grandson was home when the crime was committed, but was not injured.

Dominguez is currently at the Hidalgo County Jail.

The case is under investigation.
