U.S. Census to Hold Job Fair in McAllen for Temporary Positions
WESLACO – If you want to earn some extra cash, the U.S. Census Bureau has a job fair this weekend in McAllen.
It’ll be held Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McAllen Public Library at 4001 N. 23rd Street.
The agency says thousands of temporary positions will be available in the Rio Grande Valley starting in March 2020.
Applicants are required to be at least 18 years old, U.S. citizens, have their own transportation and basic computer skills and be fluent in English.
The bureau encourages veterans to apply.
People who are interested will be able to speak to staff and apply on-site. Interviews will be held in December.
Another job fair is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16.
