Valley Preparing to Lay to Rest Trooper Moises Sanchez
MISSION - The Rio Grande Valley is preparing to lay to rest a hero.
The body of Trooper Moises Sanchez is back home.
Sanchez died during surgery in Houston last weekend.
Four months ago he was shot while tracking down a suspect who fled an accident scene.
This weekend a procession of dozens of law enforcement officials escorted Sanchez's body to Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg.
A public visitation will be held at Legacy Chapels on Thursday.
On Friday, a funeral service will be held at Bert Ogden Arena open to the public.
A private family burial will follow.
