WESLACO - An overnight wreck in Weslaco sent three people to the hospital. Their conditions aren’t known at this time.

The crash happened at the intersection of FM 1015 and Mile 8 around 11:30 p.m. Monday. Witnesses said a driver slammed into three other vehicles stopped at a traffic light and then veered into a ditch.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation. Police on the scene said the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
