4th Suspect Charged in McAllen Homicide Case, 5th Still at Large

UPDATE (8/8): McAllen police made another arrest in connection with the murder of Nicholas Anthony Bazan. 

Monica Ann Gomez was arrested and arraigned on Monday. 

She's being held on a $1 million bond. 

Police are still looking for a fifth suspect, 49-year-old Avero Alaniz.

MCALLEN – Three suspects are charged with capital murder for the death of a McAllen man.

Police arrested Alex Arevalo, 21, Armando Adrian Arebalo, 29, and Roberta Martinez, 33, on Saturday. They were charged with capital murder.

Police said the body of 41-year-old Nicholas Anthony Bazan was found along the 1400 block of Vine Avenue with an apparent gunshot wound back in June.

Bond was set at $1 million for each suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
