SANTA ROSA – A collapsed drainage pipe underneath railroad tracks is blocked and leaving a water back up.

The railroad tracks divide the land between two fields; they also divide flooded and dry land.

Jesus Briones raises horses and other animals on his ranch; the flood took part of his livelihood and livestock away.

Underneath the steel beams and rocks is a pipe and only a small amount of water is seeping out.

Briones says the water should flow into La Feria irrigation district canal.

"There's water in there but it can take some more, it can definitely take some more water," he says.

The pipe belongs to the Rio Grande Valley Switching Company according to La Feria irrigation manager Al Martinez.

He says the pipe is an ongoing problem and he plans to work with the city and county to get a pump to Briones’ home.
