Brownsville road remains closed after semi-truck rollover causes fuel spill
FM 550, south of U.S. 77, will remain closed until Thursday after a semi-truck rolled over Wednesday evening and caused a fuel spill.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of the vehicle was hospitalized. The roadway was expected to be shut down for at least three hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
At around 10 p.m. Wednesday, a DPS spokesperson said FM 550 from Baker Road to U.S. 77 will remain closed until Thursday.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
