Brownsville to Replace Water Valves, Service Interruptions Expected
BROWNSVILLE – The Brownsville Public Utilities Board announced that there will be at least three water service interruptions this week.
The board says the service interruptions are part of their water valve replacement program that will be conducted from Jan. 22 to 28.
BPUB found that they need to replace 64 water valves throughout the distribution system.
They say replacing the valves will be able to minimize the number of customers affected by service interruptions.
The replacements will require that some customers be without water service while work is being completed.
The entire project is expected to be complete by April.
