Brownsville Woman Pleads Guilty to Sex Trafficking
BROWNSVILLE – Maria Candelaria Losoya, 55, plead guilty to one count of sex trafficking a 9-year-old girl.
Losoya admitted she was responsible for the continued sexual assault of the girl, which began in 2012.
According to witness statements, Losoya encouraged the child to perform sexual acts with an acquaintance.
Losoya's sentencing is set for Nov. 16. She faces up to life in prison.
A co-defendant in the case is awaiting trial.
