Confusion looms over migrants at Valley port-of-entry after court halts policy

UPDATE (10:35 PM): The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted to suspend an order it issued earlier Friday to halt the "Remain in Mexico" policy.

BROWNSVILLE – Migrant Protection Protocols, also known as the “Remain in Mexico” policy, was temporarily blocked by a California court Friday.

After the decision, some immigrants attempted to go onto the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville to make their asylum request again. Many on them have questions.

Immigration attorneys are also trying to figure out what will happen next after the ruling.
