BROWNSVILLE – Crews are working to repair a water break in Brownsville.

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board is asking residents to avoid the intersection of Avenida Gregory and Lisa Avenue.

People in the area say they reported the leak after they noticed it several days ago.

A BPUB spokesman says workers discovered a 12-inch ruptured pipe.

He adds crews should take about four hours to complete repairs.
