DONNA – Donna police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old.

Donna Police Lt. Rene Rosas said the mother showed up Thursday at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco with the baby girl around 10 a.m.

Police said they are interrogating the parents. We’re told both are cooperating.

Rosas said the cause of death is unknown but an autopsy is underway. Initial findings may be available by Friday.

Police still don’t know how the mother got to the hospital.
