If you have an outstanding ticket or warrant to pay, next week is your chance to take care of it without being arrested.

The Edinburg Municipal Court is hosting a safe haven mobile court on Friday, Sept. 13.

The court will work with anyone to pay off their debt. People will have the option to pay in full or get a payment plan. Those who qualify will be eligible for a discount.

The outreach docket program is an effort to get rid of the backlog on the court's docket.

"You know right now, we have got cases that are from [1999], we still have pending. So some of the things we have worked on is hey, let's get these letters out, let's get these notices, let's do some outreach. Having people come in and actually take care of their citation," Edinburg Municipal Court Administrator Maribel Velasquez said.

The mobile court will be at the Tule Recreational Center, located at 700 South Veterans Boulevard. It will be open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
