Father and son charged in connection to Alamo aggravated assault
ALAMO – Authorities on Tuesday arrested and charged a father and son with aggravated robbery.
On Monday, Feb. 3, an Alamo police officer responded to reports of an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on South Alamo Road.
Police say a witness saw two men being assaulted by two male suspects with handguns at a residence. The witness observed the suspects using a handgun as a tool to assault the victims, according to officials.
Authorities say one of the suspects took one of the victim’s necklace and ran off. The suspects fired two gunshots near the home as they fled.
Investigators recovered a bullet casing and a live round at the crime scene. Officials later identified Noel Gonzalez Jr. and Noel Gonzalez Sr. as the two suspects.
Both were charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
