SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – Texas Rangers now taking over the investigation of a woman’s body found on South Padre Island.

Investigators confirmed the woman drowned, but they still do not know who she is.

Her body was found last week near Beach Access 6.

Authorities say the woman was kayaking when she fell into the water.
