Local Woman Speaks Out About Ongoing Sexual Assault Case
WESLACO - A local woman says she is hoping for justice on her sexual assault case.
She says her case is still in court and her accused attacker is still living his normal everyday life.
"He’s still out there, from my understanding he's still working. I wasn't the only victim there was more than one victim that I’ve found out so far," she says.
She says she is trying to move on from the incident, but is worried about her pending court appearance.
"Unfortunately every time I show up to the court I have to see this person all the time and hes literally a seat away," she says.
The Hidalgo County District Attorney, Ricardo Rodriguez, says he wants all victims to know his office is moving as fast as it can.
Rodriguez says he hopes to be able to have open communication with any victims who may think the process is taking too long.
