MCALLEN – The Mexican consulate in McAllen and the U.S. consulate in Matamoros will host a seminary Friday focusing on the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Several rounds of NAFTA talks have already taken place in Washington, D.C.

The local seminar is in anticipation for the next round which is tentatively set for Sunday.

Representatives from both consulates urge people to participate in the seminar. They say it’s critical to gather information on how NAFTA impacts our community.

If you’d like to attend, you can visit the Pharr Event Center on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
