WESLACO – A motion for a new trial, as well as a motion for reduction of sentence has been denied for the owner of Briseno Construction.

Adelina Briseno is accused of promising 47 families homes and taking their payments without beginning the projects.

Briseno argued her punishment was too severe; she still faces a 30-year sentence.
