FRONTON – Border Patrol agents out of Rio Grande City found an abandoned vehicle filled with marijuana near the river in Fronton over the weekend.

Sixteen bundles weighing a total of 928 pounds were found inside of a 2003 black GMC Yukon off of Riojas Lane.

Two males attempted to hide near the river; multiple people were seen on the Mexican side of the river.
