TEA Passes Federal Status Report amid Changes in Special Education Services

WESLACO – The Texas Education Agency has passed a federal status report by the U.S. Department of Education.

TEA is revamping special education services in public schools following a 2016 federal investigation in which parents claimed students with disabilities were denied services.  

The agency is spending $65 million to help teachers to deliver these services.
