UTRGV Professor Speaks about Growth Needed to Overcome Weather Crisis

WESLACO – Rio Grande Valley cities that were affected by the floods could take this as an opportunity to prepare if severe weather arises. 

Cities usually have emergency management plans in place, which tend to have three phases: preparation, response and recovery. 

An associate professor, who focuses on sociology and disaster studies at the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley, says there are several measures of effective response in severe weather.

KRGV's Valerie Gonzalez spoke with the professor about how we can grow from the current weather crisis.
