EDINBURG – Two brothers accused of abandoning a child in a stolen car, now, jailed in Hidalgo County.

Ovidio Zamora and his younger brother, Eric, are charged with child endangerment, theft and evading arrest.

Investigators say they stole a grey Kia near San Carlos on Tuesday, then ditched it about a mile away with a 2-year-old asleep in the car.

The toddler was not injured.
