Brownsville PUB crews preparing to respond to possible outages during Arctic front

Crews with the Brownsville Public Utilities Board are on standby for any possible weather related outages, a spokesperson said.

Crews have prepped their vehicles and equipment to respond at a moments notice.

Brownsville PUB crews were also deployed to trim trees in problem areas, and checking insulation on all lines at water plants.

According to Brownsville PUB spokesperson Ryan Greenfeld, the utility company has been in contact with the state’s power grid operator.

“Right now they do expect that operations will be normal,” Greenfeld said. “We'll continue to keep a close eye on weather conditions and if something we're to change, ERCOT will communicate that to us."
