New Cameron Co. Voting Machines Undergoing Testing

BROWNSVILLE – Cameron County will have new voting machines ready for the upcoming November election.

The county will be getting 137 new machines that will replace existing equipment.

Cameron County Elections Administrator Remi Garza said the best part of the voting experience will be improved security, reliability and voter confidence.

The equipment is currently undergoing testing.

Poll workers will also be trained on the new equipment in the coming weeks.
