UPDATE: The death investigation into a 24-year-old woman continues.

McAllen police identified the body of Jessica Hernandez on Tuesday. Her body was found Monday night.

Authorities said they haven’t determined an exact cause of death. They’re waiting for the results of a toxicology report.

MCALLEN – Police in McAllen are investigating a woman’s death.

Officers got a call about the death around 8:30 p.m. Monday. McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said they responded to the 2400 block of Hibiscus Avenue.

Few details are being released at this time, but CHANNEL 5 NEWS learned an autopsy was ordered.
