Police seeking suspects accused of stealing car from Palmview Whataburger
The Palmview Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating three suspects accused of running over a woman’s foot while stealing her car.
The theft happened on Saturday, May 17, at the Whataburger on East Palma Vista Drive at around 2:45 a.m., according to a news release.
According to the release, Palmview police officers initially responded to a report of a vehicle at a nearby Stripes Convenience Store that collided with a barrier at the diesel pumps there.
A woman at the adjacent Whataburger restaurant flagged down responding police officers and told them a man and two women stole her vehicle and ran over her foot during the theft, the release added.
The vehicle then collided with the barrier at the Stripes Convenience Store, and all three suspects fled on foot.
The female victim suffered a fractured foot in the incident and is recuperating, according to the release.
The male suspect was last seen wearing a gray polo shirt with a number 3 on the right sleeve, light-colored jeans, black tennis shoes, and a bandage wrapped right hand.
One of the women was seen wearing a flowered shirt with a light-colored jean skirt and beige sandals, while the other female suspect was seen wearing an orange flowered bareback shirt and jean shorts with slip-on beige sandals.
