The second juvenile suspect accused of causing more than $20,000 in damages to a trail was arrested, the Brownsville Police Department announced on Thursday.

As previously reported, 32 solar-powered lights along the Belden West Trail near Sam’s Memorial Stadium were damaged in an act of vandalism that was reported on Nov. 24. One unidentified juvenile was arrested days later.

“During the investigation, it was found that a total of 32 lights were either damaged or forcibly removed from the ground,” police said in a news release. “Video evidence shows the two juveniles pushing over the lamps and damaging them.”

Both juveniles were transported to Darell B. Hester Juvenile Detention Center on charges of criminal mischief, police added.
