Vigil held for Charlie Kirk at UTRGV in Edinburg
A prayer vigil for Charlie Kirk was held in Edinburg on Friday.
It was held at the Chapel Lawn at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The vigil was organized by the UTRGV chapter of Turning Point USA, the organization Kirk founded, when he was still a teenager.
Kirk died Wednesday, and his accused killer is in custody.
"I believe this vigil was necessary," attendee Ana Gambao said. "He believed in sharing the truth. I believe it will continue to impact a lot of people, especially this young generation."
Kirk's widow also encouraged college and high school students to join their local Turning Point chapters.
