Cameron County reports four more coronavirus-related deaths, 87 new cases
Health officials in Cameron County reported four additional COVID-19 deaths on Saturday — bringing the number of deaths in the county to 67.
The individuals who died were a 23-year-old male from Rancho Viejo, a 42-year-old male from Harlingen, a 68-year-old male from San Benito and a 92-year-old female resident of The Rio at Fox Hollow.
According to a news release from Cameron County, 87 new virus cases were confirmed, making the total number of known cases 2,779. Among the new cases are a 5-month-old boy from Brownsville and a 7-month-old girl from Harlingen.
Of the total number of people who tested positive in Cameron County, 2,004 have recovered.
