A drug bust near Roma led to a stash house bust at a separate location.

Friday, U.S. Border Patrol Agents and the Starr County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force seized more than 300 pounds of marijuana at a home and took one person in the country illegally into custody.

During their investigation, authorities were led to another home, where several agencies stopped a smuggling operation after finding 70 people in the U.S. illegally.

Everyone found was offered medical attention and will be processed.

Officials with U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the people were from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
