Red Cross Reports Flood Relief Stats
WESLACO – Recovery continues in the Rio Grande Valley following June’s floods.
The American Red Cross reported the following stats since June 20:
- More than 200 volunteers deployed to Valley
- 29,000 meals and snacks served
- 6 shelters operated
- 2,000 health contacts
- 13,000 relief items distributed
- 4,000 people helped through casework teams
The organization says volunteers continue to handle casework.
